fifty first recordings was created in 1994 out of a small but very productive studio in london called state 51 using the down time and the very talented engineers who had been brought together for state 51 s existing clients. state 51 was the go to studio for the likes of x-press 2, sharp, amalgamation of soundz. the engineers we worked with included mark woolford, james brown, james reynolds & mark yardley. fifty first recordings soon found a name for itself and was very quickly at the forefront of the new generation of uk garage music. we produced and released music in the 90s, for over 7 years, with the likes of tuff jam etc. and later went to develop other imprints such as konnect / test press / unda vybe / spread love / tick etc., some in partnership with producers and managed artists.

djeuhdjoah & lieutenant nicholson is a french composers and afro-soul singers duo. tes qui? is their first album, fruit of an intense collaboration during many years, on stage and in studio. they call their music as afropean songs, a collection of jazzy-pop melodies, afro-soul and funk arrangements.
